Publication Ethics

Jurnal Abdimas HIP berkomitmen untuk menegakkan standar etika publikasi tertinggi. Kebijakan etika kami didasarkan pada COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) Best Practice Guidelines. Kebijakan ini berlaku untuk semua pihak yang terlibat dalam proses publikasi, termasuk Penulis, Editor, dan Reviewer.

Tugas Etis Penulis (Ethical Duties of Authors)

  • Standar Pelaporan: Penulis harus melaporkan hasil penelitian secara akurat, objektif, dan faktual. Pemalsuan data atau penemuan yang menyesatkan dilarang. Naskah harus cukup detail agar penelitian dapat direplikasi.

  • Orisinalitas dan Plagiarisme: Naskah harus merupakan karya orisinal. Penulis tidak boleh mengirimkan naskah yang sama secara bersamaan ke jurnal lain. Semua sumber yang digunakan harus diakui dengan benar.

  • Penulisan (Authorship): Penulisan harus dibatasi pada individu yang berkontribusi signifikan pada penelitian. Semua penulis yang dicantumkan harus sudah melihat dan menyetujui naskah yang diajukan.

  • Pengungkapan Konflik Kepentingan: Penulis wajib mengungkapkan potensi konflik kepentingan, baik finansial maupun pribadi.

  • Kesalahan Fundamental: Penulis bertanggung jawab untuk segera memberitahu editor jika mereka menemukan kesalahan signifikan pada naskah yang telah dipublikasi agar bisa dikoreksi.

Tugas Etis Editor (Ethical Duties of Editors)

  • Keputusan Publikasi: Editor membuat keputusan penerbitan yang adil dan objektif berdasarkan laporan review, validitas, dan pentingnya penelitian, tanpa bias terhadap penulis.

  • Proses Review: Editor memastikan setiap naskah dievaluasi keasliannya dan menyelenggarakan proses peer review yang adil dengan menugaskan reviewer yang sesuai.

  • Kerahasiaan: Semua informasi tentang naskah yang diajukan harus dijaga kerahasiaannya.

  • Konflik Kepentingan: Editor tidak boleh menggunakan materi yang belum dipublikasikan untuk penelitian pribadi dan harus menghindari keputusan atas naskah di mana mereka memiliki konflik kepentingan.

Tugas Etis Reviewer (Ethical Duties of Reviewers)

  • Kerahasiaan: Reviewer harus menjaga kerahasiaan naskah dan informasi terkait.

  • Objektivitas: Ulasan harus objektif dan konstruktif, dengan memberikan masukan yang jelas untuk perbaikan naskah.

  • Pengakuan Sumber: Reviewer harus mengidentifikasi apakah ada karya yang relevan tidak diakui oleh penulis.

  • Konflik Kepentingan: Informasi istimewa tidak boleh digunakan untuk keuntungan pribadi. Reviewer harus memberitahu editor jika ada potensi konflik kepentingan.

  • Ketepatan Waktu: Reviewer harus menyelesaikan tinjauan dalam jangka waktu yang wajar.

 

 

Publication Ethics

Jurnal Abdimas HIP is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics. Our ethical policy is based on the COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) Best Practice Guidelines. This policy applies to all parties involved in the publication process, including Authors, Editors, and Reviewers.

Ethical Duties of Authors

  • Reporting Standards: Authors must provide an accurate, objective, and factual account of their research. Data fabrication or misleading findings are prohibited. Manuscripts should be detailed enough for replication.

  • Originality and Plagiarism: Submitted manuscripts must be original work. Authors should not submit the same manuscript to other journals concurrently. All sources used must be properly acknowledged.

  • Authorship: Authorship should be limited to individuals who made a significant contribution to the research. All listed authors must have seen and approved the submitted manuscript.

  • Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest: Authors are obligated to disclose any potential conflicts of interest, whether financial or personal.

  • Fundamental Errors: Authors are responsible for promptly notifying the editor of any significant errors in their published work so that it can be corrected.

Ethical Duties of Editors

  • Publication Decisions: Editors make fair and objective publication decisions based on review reports, validity, and the importance of the research, without bias towards the authors.

  • Review Process: Editors ensure each manuscript is evaluated for originality and organizes a fair peer-review process with appropriate reviewers.

  • Confidentiality: All information regarding submitted manuscripts must be kept confidential.

  • Conflict of Interest: Editors must not use unpublished materials for their own research and must avoid decisions on manuscripts where they have a conflict of interest.

Ethical Duties of Reviewers

  • Confidentiality: Reviewers must treat manuscripts and related information as confidential.

  • Objectivity: Reviews must be objective and constructive, providing clear feedback to help authors improve their manuscript.

  • Acknowledgement of Sources: Reviewers must identify whether any relevant work has not been cited by the authors.

  • Conflict of Interest: Privileged information must not be used for personal advantage. Reviewers must inform the editor of any potential conflict of interest.

  • Promptness: Reviewers should complete their review within a reasonable timeframe.
