Publication Ethics

Jurnal Kebidanan Harapan Ibu Pekalongan berkomitmen untuk menegakkan standar etika publikasi tertinggi. Kebijakan etika publikasi kami didasarkan pada panduan Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors. Kebijakan ini berlaku untuk semua pihak yang terlibat dalam proses publikasi, termasuk Penulis, Editor, dan Reviewer.

Tugas Etis Penulis (Ethical Duties of Authors)

  • Standar Pelaporan: Penulis harus melaporkan hasil penelitian secara akurat, objektif, dan faktual. Tidak diperkenankan adanya pemalsuan data, manipulasi gambar, atau penemuan yang sengaja disajikan secara menyesatkan.

  • Orisinalitas dan Plagiarisme: Naskah yang diajukan harus merupakan karya orisinal penulis dan bebas dari plagiarisme dalam bentuk apa pun. Penulis harus menggunakan perangkat lunak deteksi plagiarisme dan menyertakan tingkat kemiripan dalam pengajuan naskah.

  • Pengakuan Sumber: Penulis harus mengakui semua sumber referensi yang digunakan dalam penelitian. Segala bentuk kutipan dan ide yang diambil dari karya orang lain harus diakui dengan jelas.

  • Pengajuan Ganda: Penulis tidak diperkenankan untuk mengirimkan naskah yang sama secara bersamaan ke lebih dari satu jurnal.

  • Penulisan (Authorship): Semua individu yang berkontribusi secara signifikan pada penelitian harus dicantumkan sebagai penulis. Semua penulis harus menyetujui versi final naskah sebelum dikirimkan.

  • Koreksi dan Klarifikasi: Jika penulis menemukan kesalahan atau ketidakakuratan signifikan dalam naskah yang sudah diterbitkan, mereka wajib segera memberitahu editor untuk melakukan koreksi.

  • Konflik Kepentingan: Penulis harus mengungkapkan setiap potensi konflik kepentingan, baik finansial maupun pribadi, yang dapat memengaruhi hasil atau interpretasi penelitian.

Tugas Etis Editor (Ethical Duties of Editors)

  • Keputusan Publikasi: Editor bertanggung jawab penuh untuk membuat keputusan publikasi yang adil dan objektif berdasarkan laporan review, orisinalitas naskah, dan signifikansi penelitian, tanpa memandang ras, gender, orientasi seksual, agama, etnis, atau afiliasi kelembagaan penulis.

  • Kerahasiaan: Editor harus menjaga kerahasiaan semua informasi terkait naskah yang diajukan, termasuk komunikasi dengan reviewer dan penulis, hingga naskah dipublikasikan.

  • Konflik Kepentingan: Editor tidak boleh terlibat dalam keputusan editorial terhadap naskah di mana mereka memiliki konflik kepentingan.

  • Penanganan Keluhan: Editor harus mengambil tindakan yang tepat dan wajar jika ada keluhan etika terkait naskah yang diterbitkan.

Tugas Etis Reviewer (Ethical Duties of Reviewers)

  • Kontribusi Keputusan Editorial: Reviewer bertugas membantu editor dalam mengambil keputusan editorial dan memberikan saran perbaikan pada naskah.

  • Kerahasiaan: Reviewer harus memperlakukan naskah yang ditinjau sebagai dokumen rahasia. Mereka tidak boleh mendiskusikan naskah tersebut dengan pihak lain.

  • Objektivitas: Reviewer harus melakukan evaluasi secara objektif dan memberikan komentar yang konstruktif untuk meningkatkan kualitas naskah, tanpa kritik pribadi terhadap penulis.

  • Pengakuan Sumber: Reviewer harus mengidentifikasi apakah ada karya yang relevan tidak diakui oleh penulis.

  • Konflik Kepentingan: Reviewer harus segera memberitahu editor jika mereka memiliki konflik kepentingan.

 

Publication Ethics

Jurnal Kebidanan Harapan Ibu Pekalongan is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics. Our publication ethics policy is based on the COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors. This policy applies to all parties involved in the publication process, including Authors, Editors, and Reviewers.

Ethical Duties of Authors

  • Reporting Standards: Authors must report their research findings accurately, objectively, and truthfully. Falsification of data, image manipulation, or misrepresentation of findings are strictly prohibited.

  • Originality and Plagiarism: Submitted manuscripts must be the original work of the authors and free from any form of plagiarism. Authors are required to use plagiarism detection software and submit the similarity report with their manuscript.

  • Acknowledgement of Sources: Authors must acknowledge all sources of reference used in their research. Any ideas or quotes taken from other works must be clearly cited.

  • Multiple Submissions: Authors are not permitted to submit the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously.

  • Authorship: All individuals who have made a significant contribution to the research must be listed as authors. All authors must approve the final version of the manuscript before submission.

  • Corrections and Retractions: If authors discover a significant error or inaccuracy in their published work, they are obligated to promptly notify the editor to issue a correction.

  • Conflict of Interest: Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest, whether financial or personal, that could influence the results or interpretation of their research.

Ethical Duties of Editors

  • Publication Decisions: Editors are fully responsible for making fair and objective publication decisions based on the review reports, originality, and significance of the manuscript, without regard to the author's race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, or institutional affiliation.

  • Confidentiality: Editors must maintain the confidentiality of all information related to submitted manuscripts, including communication with reviewers and authors, until the manuscript is published.

  • Conflict of Interest: Editors must not be involved in editorial decisions on manuscripts where they have a conflict of interest.

  • Handling Complaints: Editors must take appropriate and reasonable action if ethical complaints arise concerning a published manuscript.

Ethical Duties of Reviewers

  • Contribution to Editorial Decisions: Reviewers assist editors in making editorial decisions and provide suggestions for improving the manuscript.

  • Confidentiality: Reviewers must treat the reviewed manuscript as a confidential document. They must not discuss the manuscript with others.

  • Objectivity: Reviewers must conduct their evaluation objectively and provide constructive comments to enhance the quality of the manuscript, avoiding personal criticism of the authors.

  • Acknowledgement of Sources: Reviewers must identify whether any relevant work has not been cited by the authors.

  • Conflict of Interest: Reviewers must promptly inform the editor if they have a conflict of interest.
